What “waterproof flooring” actually means
Not all “water-resistant” floors are equal. Laminate labelled water-resistant can still swell at the joints. Truly waterproof flooring — SPC vinyl, rigid hybrid, and porcelain tile — won’t swell, warp, or buckle when life happens: dishwasher leaks, wet winter boots, basement humidity, pet accidents.
