The Difference
Material
Vinyl flooring is made from synthetic materials, while laminate flooring is made from a combination of wood fibers and resin. Our 500 different types of vibrant color are what makes us a customer favorite.
Durability
Vinyl flooring is highly durable and can withstand heavy foot traffic and moisture, making it a good choice for high-traffic areas such as kitchens and bathrooms. Laminate flooring is also durable, but it is not recommended for areas with high moisture levels. Here at Balance Flooring, we ensure we have the most high-end quality for any of your commercial or residential needs.
Installation
Vinyl flooring can be installed as either a sheet, tile, or plank format, and can be installed using a variety of methods, including glue-down, click-lock, or loose-lay. Laminate flooring is typically installed using a tongue-and-groove system and requires a foam underlayment.
Appearance
Vinyl flooring can mimic the look of natural materials such as wood or stone and is available in a wide variety of colors and patterns. We encourage our customers to come to Balance Flooring and see our different variety of brands such as Biyork, NAF, Fuzion etc, for a reasonable price. Laminate flooring can also mimic the look of natural materials but tends to have a more uniform appearance. From all sizes and textures,
Maintenance
Maintenance: Vinyl flooring is easy to maintain and can be cleaned with a damp mop or a mild cleaning solution. Laminate flooring also requires minimal maintenance, but is more prone to scratching and may require occasional buffing or refinishing.
